- Women's Christian Fellowship
This group of devoted women meets the third Thursday of each month in the Carlisle Room of Fellowship Hall. WCF organizes bereavement dinners, the spring and fall yard sale and operates the Whistle Stop Diner during Art in Speed Park held each August. They also participate in Operation Shoebox and give generously to the operating fund of Speed Memorial Church. - Music
Sing, make a joyful sound. Our church choice provides music during Sunday morning worship and for special services. Practice is held on Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The choice is open to ages 13 years and up. During the summer months from May 31st to Sept. 1st, choir has a break and does not meet. Music for the Sunday morning services during this time is provided by volunteers from the choir and congregation. Children of all ages are encouraged to participate in the Rainbow Ringers Bell Choir. They perform 3 to 4 times a year and practice is immediately after Sunday worship service for 2 to 3 weeks prior to a performance. Organist is Carol Johson. Pianist is Phyllis Roland. Music Director is Nona Stephenson. If you enjoy singing or playing a musical instrument, we invite you to join us.
- Missions
The members of Speed Memorial Church, through the missions committee, show their support for the needy organizations in our community and the world. Better Moms Make A Better World!
SMC is pleased to launch a new ministry and community outreach, MOPS of Clark County. This program is designed for mothers of preschool children who will experience authentic community, mothering support, personal growth and spiritual hope, all to help them be the best mom possible.
The September meetings of MOPS of Clark County will be held Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Speed Memorial Church, Sellersburg, Indiana. Reservations are not required by appreciated by calling the church office at (812) 246-3262. Childcare and refreshments will be provided at both sessions.
Beginning in October, MOPS of Clark County meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of each month with sessions at 9-11 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. to accommodate both stay-at-home and working moms.

Sellersburg Food Pantry
The food pantry is open each Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for residents of Sellersburg, Speed and Memphis, Indiana. The entrance is on the south side of the church. Food donations are accepted throughout the year by calling the church office at (812) 246-3262.
Victory Junction Gang
Speed Memorial Church members may choose to participate in the sewing program by knitting an afghan, constructing a quilt orsewing a teddy bear or horse. Members may also contribute items from VJG's Wish List. Contact Kari Donahue for more information.
